SAD NEWS AT CAVAN STAGES RALLY
reports comming through that a car lost control and went through a fence killing 2 spectators.
thoughts and prayers with their families and friends and of course the driver and co-driver.
i know this is a model forum but we are all humans at the end of the day that enjoy rally days out etc and when something like this happens it brings so much into line!

Re: SAD NEWS AT CAVAN STAGES RALLY
That's awful news!
I think it is so easy to forget that motorsport is still a very dangerous sport, and thankfully tragedies are quite rare. I cannot imagine what the driver, co-driver, any marhalls nearby, or the organising club are going through at this moment.
Sympathies and condolences to the family, and close friends of the deceased.

I've known the photographer for about 20yrs, still cannot get over the fact he's gone. One of the nicest most genuine photographers you could meet, and so down to earth.
A Sad sad day

A Sad sad day
I only met Joe once-up in Cavan in 2005 in Parc Ferme the night before the rally, My impression and memory of him was that he was a lovely man. Such a shame. Knew it was him when I heard it was a photographer from Galway. Some people in this life you only meet fleetingly-a few moments, a minute, perhaps two but the impression is left forever. God speed Joe.
