I really feel for Malcolm Wilson and the MSport staff, a monster crash and a rich kid that cant even keep pace with the R5 cars, why would you bother going to work on Monday?

Its a job. To us its a sport . For them, you have to remember, its just business.

Predictable win for Ogier however Elfyn was his closest rival so lets hope for reversed championship positions come year end!

I used to get excited with the Monte Carlo but it was all a bit dull and predictable. I suspect Tanak sees the huge mistake he made leaving Toyota. Hopefully, Breen might muster a bit more interest from me in the next round.

There is more competition than when Loeb cleaned it all up. Watching Ogier fight back from the puncture shows just how good he is. 8 wins across 5 manufacturers just phenomenal

100%, Ogier is incredible, and he was at his best on the Monte, there was competition, as much as ever, but this past weekend he was just better than anyone else by a clear margin

So..... appreciate its just 1 stage in to the Arctic rally, so massively premature for me to make this statement, but putting funding/sponsorship to one side, it just shows to me the continued and baffling madness of Breen not having a full drive.

agreed paul...., money talks of course but im not sure how much each of these others bring to the table.....guessing its quite a lot for at least one or two....

Yes. Though that has been the way long-term. Seems there is never a complete perfect running order but this is better than the stupid shit they pulled in the mid naughties to ham tie wrc when it was starting to eclipse F1

Craig dropped back a bit today but even the god like Ogier showed his human side getting buried in a snowbank and is now super-rallying for day 3.

Meanwhile the wunderkids Kalle and Oscar are having great outings, Solberg in 6th in his first ever WRC car outing, wow!

yeah will be hard for breen to make podium but you never know...as you say even ogier can get caught out  so you never know, the event has made spectacular tv footage pictures i must say,,, though i cant stand the banal waffles of kiri bloore on bt live coverage.....

kalle was very grumpy in some interviews yesterday but may just doesnt like early mornings lol, i thought oliver comes across as very amicable and just happy to be there, obv the apple didnt fall far from the tree in that house...both of them doing brilliantly though...

breen had his gearbox changed this mornong just before start.....took the team 15 mins!!

Hyundai will be pleased - 3 of the top 4 slots to them. Solid drive by Breen which will have done him no harm at all.

yep, it was a class looking event...although tanak won, i thought neuville looked very impressive...and brilliant final stage from breen....

Craig being pretty tough on himself on social media. Time away from the WRC car, little in the way of testing and event he's never done I think 4th is great and didnt deny Thierry drivers points whilst doing the team points no harm at all. Ok so Oliver really seemed to shine however there's a big difference between driving with no pressure and being asked to do a job like CB had to do. Think Adamo will be a pretty happy boy today.
