i wouldnt rush it steve....no-one will rush to do the decals due to the chrome....its a nightmare according to jf.

Started to strip the Vatanen Scottish MKll,
I've always wanted his COI car done using a Trofeu base, I have the Vitesse version here but it doesn't look right sitting with the rest of my Irish MKll's,
Now that the decals have been stripped I can make a start on it tomorrow night,

Finally got round to finishing this model off,

I've the Vitesse COI version here but it didn't fit in with my other Trofeu MKll's as it looked out of place and i couldn't display the Trofeu Scottish version in the Irish cabinet,
In the end I had to mix them together to get the model that I wanted and would fit in with the rest of the collection,
I used a Trofeu base because I like the shape better and the rest of my MKll's are Trofeu then used a set of Vitesse decals because they are from the '82 COI,
Then I fitted a set of Vitesse wheels to make the model have a better tarmac look + this car ran with fatter wheels,













Having looked at the photos I think I'll need to trim the roof decal at the front & rear windows,

Thanks for the complements Lads
This one has been a start/stop project due to not wanting to break up a Vitesse model to rob the wheels off.... but I'm glad I did in the end,
On the plus side I now have a Vitesse MKll on Trofeu wheels so it looks like a nice gravel base model lol

I'm near sure I have another set of decals to build another one but it would mean using 2 base models,
I'll have a hunt to see if I can find them and let you know,
