West Cork Rally 2015

I'm having the same problem with JFE, no communication over the last week...

Tell me about it. Waiting on 3 models which i paid for in November and still nothing.

Anyone on here have a JFE 2014 Boyles model ?

I have the other one mellon country inn on it think it was 2013

Maybe I was wrong with year, I also have the Mellon country Inn model, I thought event was 2014

Thats the one i have too guys and i think its the only Boyle car he has done from Galway Summer Rally 2012 which he won if i'm correct.

I messaged JFE direct on FB and he has replied so try again. Think he is bogged down with work by the sounds of things.

This will be making an appearence at the display. For a better look, you will need to head along to the display. James will have more details on where and when over West Cork weekend.

I won't hassle him if he hasn't done the model. He sent some models for us to sell at one of the displays last year and they have all been sold (and paid for) except a Denis Cronin Subaru so if anyone is interested let me know and I will try to find it and you can pay either JFE or me.

Been in contact with JFE. He didn't do the the Boyles 2014 Subaru - citing cost and lack of demand as the reason. Perfectly understandable. So of the 37 cars in the display who would have thought that it was the most recent winner that won't be there ? While we are doing some of the early ones it does surprise me in the light of a perceived rush over the past few years to get the most recent cars done.

Seems Coleman 1976 has been forgotten from the list or was the Tarmac championship not in existence then? JOB-Think you have Colmans Stratos from Donegal 1978.

STARTED IN 1978

We appear to be on track to have all models ready for the display.

However we are looking for the Boyles 2012 Galway National model if anyone got one from JFE. I have emailed JFE to see if he can do one on time. In the meantime if there is one in southern Ireland or if some one is coming to the rally and has one we would be much obliged to get a loan of it for the weekend.

When do you need it for?

Its needed for the weekend of the 14th and 15th March.

Who would have thought it would be the latest championship cars to be causing the problems given the way there was a race to get models built after events not to long ago.

Has anyone a list of the Sponsors of the Itish Tarmac Championship since its start in 1978. And to further press my luck would anyone have pictures/photos of the championship logos in question.

The National Rally Championships is the official Irish recognised National Championship - not the Tarmac Championship. The Tarmac Championship is a trans national championship and was "allowed" use Irish events. Hence MSI had little or nothing to do with the Tarmac Championship. I can even remember when MSI or the RIAC as it was then nominated the reigning National Champion for a B seed while the winner of the Tarmac Championship could not get a nomination. Thats all by way of saying thanks Donie but MSI will have no official records of the Tarmac Championship. Bloody politics.

Best bet for images of the championship logos would be from someone with an extensive program collection. Its about the only way of gathering old logos like these.

I know someone who has just that, I've messaged James about it.

Only a few days left, and instead of going to the Circuit of Ireland I'll fly over this week to discover another new rally.

James thought he might take the easy way out and ask on the various forums and facebook. I was hoping to avoid mining my own archive of paperwork - taking the easy way out . I have most of them apart from some of the earlier years. Rory was also very helpful. Late 80's is before my time so help still needed there. The idea is to use Championship sponsor logos as a background. Found some stickers and championship regs today so it will take the bare look off the display.

Best of luck with the display over the weekend. James has put an awful lot of work into this and it should be a great success. Definitely worth a look if your around rally HQ
