Re: Roger Albert Clark / James and Owen ..................
Tough weekend. Big thanks for all the good wishes. Great to meet with George and Steve in Carlisle. Pity it had to be so brief. A puncture on the third last stage cost us 30 to 40 seconds and another puncture on the second last stage put the nail in the coffin of holding on to fourth place. Super car even if we were giving away horsepower to the escorts and it goes without saying a really talented driver - a real privilege to have one of the best seats in the event. The car sounded glorious and played a tune all of its own.
Very specialised event with drivers and particularly navigators with masses of local knowledge. Some may not know but the event was run without pacenotes so the navigators had to read the road off the map as in the "good old days"
