Cork 20 Rally
Anyone on here heading to Millstreet this weekend?
I'll get my first taste of Irish rallying, arriving tomorrow for scrutineering and leaving on Monday.

Re: Cork 20 Rally
I'm back!
I had a great weekend in Millstreet, thanks to our friend JOB and his family, as well as the Murphy's and the Irish snappers.

Re: Cork 20 Rally
Thanks Juha for posting that.
Donie and myself got the use of a window in an empty shop so we populated it with 85 models - mostly local models just for the rally weekend. So Millstreet was spoiled for choice with Sean Buckelys 1/18 exhibition in the Museum at one end of town that attracted considerable interest and our attempt at window dressing at the other side of town.

Had a chat with Donie on Sunday, and his mate. His friends needs new glasses though, he reckoned I looked 36. Either that or I just look 10 years older than I really am. I hope it's the former.
And before anyone asks, I'd only been drinking Coke up to that point so it had nothing to do with Irish beer.

Heineken Donie - he went straight for the black stuff. We had to get all the bouncers and a few more burly men to get him out of the hotel and into my car .

Re: Cork 20 Rally
No, you got me a Murphy's because I refused to drink that Heineken shit! Murphy's was good, next time I'll get you one.turn the wheel wrote:Hi Juha glad you enjoyed your FIRST Cork 20 Rally......first of many I hope......I got you a pint of Heineken and you disappeared........any photos of car no 34 ?????
And I didn't disappear, I just grabbed a seat 1 metre away and was talking to your friend, whose name I've forgotten but I'm not talking to him any more after he said I looked 36 instead of 26.
What's your e-mail address? I'll send you the pics.

Re: Cork 20 Rally
I walked from the bar to your car without physical support and without crashing into every piece of furniture along the way, I was more or less sober because I'd had some black stuff named Coca Cola too, thank you.JOB wrote:Heineken Donie - he went straight for the black stuff.
